Each book has to be known throughout the voters for something and also you have to have a very neat presentation and actually love the book. I love A Dog's Purpose and this is why I has come so far. I practice my presentation to my family and friends for views, I work hard and SMILE at everyone. My book is even more known because it has recently become a MOVIE.

I have not faced a friend yet and hope I will not. I think that I will be really nervous about my friendship with them or what would happen to them if I won? What if they won? I think because all of my friends are very close we would have no hard feelings and just wave it off! As this is just for fun you should not be mad or sad of what the tournament turns out like it's just a book that is better than the other!
The first tie! Counting by Seven vs. Peacock Feathers was a great debate, to see, and guess what? They tied! What are we going to do? This is the first tie in the History of The Tournament of Books! I have the idea that we go to a grade that has not voted present the two presentations to them and they have the final votes, as a class we are still deciding!
After I presented my speech of A Dog's Purpose, allows me to speak about my feelings, my passions, what ever I want. When I presented I saw what the listeners liked, what questions they usually asked and why. When I next present I will be able to answer all of their questions and more with a confident speech.
In school writing answers is even easier as I can write whats going through my head, and even show my work. When I do a sport it is easier because I know all of the nerves will face and how to control them, when I do well I know what to say to the other person or team that does not hurt their feelings. When I am did not do as well I respect the other team and next time try harder, by presenting I can show that I will do better. I have beat the Weasel in round one and I am currently putting together a speech to vs. Touching Spirit Bear. I am looking forward to seeing what Amber has put together for her speech. The book, after I read it, I got some advice that would make the book seem bad. The content was not meant for a younger person and an older person read would be bored because the vocabulary is super easy. This book is fit only for people who like violence and really quick reads.
My next opponent is a girl named Amber who has the book, Touching Spirit Bear. I am really nervous because that is the book that won the tournament last year!
I will know what to expect though because of my earlier experience with Weasel. I am not sure what to expect from Amber because I am the first one to face off against her. After I read Touching Spirit Bear I was able to calm some nerves, so I can say what will catch the listeners attention. It is really fun to face off against people and say why your book, is amazing! Sadly it does create a lot of new feelings of nerves, including being nervous, sad, happy, excited, and a bit of jealousy. All of those feelings come from losing the games, celebrating with your friends or presenting in front the people.
To choose a book you have to have never read the book before, you are interested in and at your reading level. A Dog's Purpose was perfect for all of the conditions. It was a bit sad that you couldn't have read the book before. I made a whole mind list!
The Tournament has started. People have begin facing off. I have presented against Weasel and Won! Before I was really nervous and thought I was totally not prepared, then during my time to present, my face got all flushed with nerves. After I hardly slept that night and was really excited in the morning to find out the results! For the preparation I practiced in front of some of my helpful friends and family, who gave me wonderful info on what's the best way to present!
